I haven't had a chance to take many progress pictures of the series I'm currently working on - however, I managed to remember to take a picture of this one. The Botanic Garden in D.C. has some interesting architecture, and has a beautiful glass sculpture out front that was inspired by plant life. I took a few pictures of the sculpture with the Botanic Garden building in the background, and eventually sketched out this composition. I had a lot of fun working on this piece - I liked working with red and using a bit of yellow for the building. I'll post the finished collage next.
