Progress Picture #1: Turtle that thinks she's a Giraffe

Turtle that thinks she's a Giraffe by collage artist Megan Coyle

Inspired by a long-neck turtle from the National Zoo. I've never seen one of these swimming around in nature, thus I was drawn to this unusual creature. Reminded me of a giraffe...if giraffes came in turtle form. I had a lot of fun working on the texture in this piece. More images are coming soon...

I'm currently getting ready to work my way through around twenty or so new landscape/cityscape pieces inspired by sights in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. I've got my work cut out for me!
