Editing Artwork

This past weekend, I worked on revisiting a few of my previous portraits to make a few edits here and there. Tomorrow I'm having a meeting with the curators for my show in July, so I wanted to get my work ready before presenting it.

Collage art by collage artist Megan Coyle
I also worked on framing a previous piece that I was commissioned to do, Snowflakes, which features a quote by Alice Childress.

And I stopped by the public library to pick up a few books on marketing for artists. I've started a book called Taking the Leap: Building a Career as a Visual Artist by Cay Lang. Already, I think it's been really helpful. It has tips on putting together your artist packet, legal information, and plenty more.

That's all for now - I'm off to begin a few more pieces for another exhibition that is in the near future.

That's great that you do gallery shows. I have never heard of that book but I am going to look it up. Good luck presenting you work!
