Whew, this week has been a busy one already - I'm pretty good at keeping my hands busy. Anyway, I've gotten started on another possible portrait/figurative piece for my solo exhibition next year and I'll post progress pictures later. I'm also really itching to get started on more animal portraits, living near the zoo has its perks - it gives me plenty of opportunities to take pictures for future projects. Anyway, here's the finished collage that I've been working on recently:

Wow, I've been busy...and haven't been getting enough sleep these days. I'm in overdrive at the moment until I go on vacation for a couple weeks in August. Anyway, here's a sketch for the next piece:

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I've been pretty busy and the weekend definitely went by too fast for me, a common dilemma. I did a little gallery sitting for the Del Ray Artisans, so I took a few pictures of the "Mixed Media Multiplied" exhibition. Below are images of my mixed media paintings that were up - paintings that I did a while ago when I was in college. I also included a couple of photos of the overall exhibition so you can get an idea of the space.

I've finished working on "the Reader" for now. Here's what I've done so far:

My "Blue Barack Obama" collage is now featured on the Art of Obama website. Art of Obama is a blog dedicated to sharing artwork inspired by President Obama.
