Website Evolution and Updates
I was looking at previous versions of my portfolio website within the past year. I've redone it three times within a year, and well, I'm amazed at how much it has changed. I've taught myself how to work with html and javascript and all those fun web design methods of coding. I thought I'd share a couple of screen shots of the homepage to give everyone a good idea of how my site's evolved:

Anyway, that's all for now. I've been working on a number of collage projects, so expect updates for my works in progress.

Here's the first version I did, my first attempt working with Dreamweaver. I collaged the navigational links and the header, took pictures of them and incorporated the images into the website's layout. The background was a distorted image of one of my collages.

I started working in columns, learned how to configure online contact forms (for the mailing list, etc.) and decided to change the background to plain black to give it a cleaner look.

The current version. I took a night class in graphic design this past fall. I designed a logo for myself and decided to use it for my website. I also decided to get rid of the collaged navigational links and header.

Just the other day I found a great tool that I've added to my online galleries. It creates an overlay on the website so it emphasizes the artwork pop-up window.

The Lincoln Memorial
I finished this one the other day and it's now for sale on my Etsy shop. I'm going to try to do a few more mini D.C. collages whenever I have a chance in between my figurative work for my solo exhibition and my commission work.

All Media Exhibition at the Del Ray Artisans
The weather was beautiful this weekend! On Saturday I did some gallery sitting for the Del Ray Artisans. The exhibition will be up until April 26th. Here are some pictures from the day, including some shots of my artwork on the walls.

It was such a beautiful day!

The lighting in the gallery was wonderful.

I decided to get a couple of pictures of my work.

The Sightseers
This one is done for now. I'm planning to return to all of these "possible solo exhibition pieces" later on to refine the ones I like best. Some time away from a composition always does some bit of good.
Anyway, there's more to come soon.
And I hope everyone is doing well!

Progress Picture #2: The Sightseers
I hope everyone had a wonderful week and a great holiday!
Anyway, I think this piece will be somewhat finished in another sit-down.

Progress Picture #1: The Sightseers
I've started another 24"x18" collage, and here's what I've done thus far:

I hope everyone has a happy Friday and a great weekend. I'm going to try to set aside more time this weekend for art-making. What will you be doing?
